TMS-First Signs of Daylight

Lives lived
Unceasingly under cloud
Know light but not the sun

Flashes of images before the eyes
Could easily be construed as a restless mind
But for a sense that the source of sight
Is outside,
Beyond,

Close at hand
And has slowly been wrapping the word and the fire
Around the soul’s sinews

The dim was a time of preparation
In darkness many lessons have been learnt
Reliance upon the Infinite God realised
Knowledge in isolation of value but no use
Except in anticipation.

This answer, this revelation, the
First signs of daylight
On a land where the pure ruby light of the Paschal Sun
Has been until now dissipated,
Is an instruction to devotion:
Ask for vision, be unremitting in the request
For his polymodal voice
You shall receive it.
